Back in May J and I tackled our biggest DIY project to date-- giving our guest bathroom a makeover. We replaced the vanity and mirror, swapped the medicine cabinet for an open shelf and gave it a fresh coat of paint. To add some decor and put finishing touches on the space we headed to Old Time Pottery. Here's what we did!
I love having a diffuser in the bathroom to greet guests with a nice fragrance. Plus diffusers are a perfect, less hazardous alternative to candles in a small space. I picked up this diffuser and it has such an amazing gardenia scent-- perfect for summer!
One of the things I love most about Old Time Pottery is their awesome selection of vases-- they have so many shapes, sizes and colors! I picked this white one with a fun organic pattern for our new shelf for a decorative accent. I put in a few sprigs of fresh eucalyptus for some greenery.
A simple way to amp up style and function is to opt for glass storage containers instead of the product packaging. I got this jar to put some bath salts in so they were accessible to guests but also double as decor.
New towels can make allllll the difference! These hand towels are so fluffy and plush. I got a set to replace the worn ones that had been in this space.
When guests visit I try to make sure their spaces have everything they need to feel at home. I found this gorgeous wooden bowl at Old Time Pottery to store some extra essentials-- a fresh washcloth, exfoliating brush and soap.
A new shower curtain makes such an impact! I decided to break up the solid grays and whites with this pretty pattern. Since our floor tile is patterned, I opted for a solid rug. It's the perfect size for the space and the tassels are a nice touch. I love how it anchors the space.
My grand total came to only $68! Definitely can't beat that. Now our guest bathroom is ready for friends & family to visit.
